On 3 October 2023, the PRI hosted its annual Sustainable Finance Policy Conference in Tokyo, before PRI in Person 2023 (PiP 2023). Each year, the conference explores the latest developments in sustainable finance policy reform and new areas of focus for responsible investors in a changing world. The conference is held under Chatham House rules, featuring panel discussions with policymakers and experts at the forefront of sustainable finance policy.
This year, the conference also held breakout table discussions, which saw regulators and investors from around the world participating in active discussions on pressing issues and potential solutions, building on the PiP 2023 theme of “moving from commitments to action”.
This briefing summarises key topics discussed during the event.
