To help you prepare for the PRI reporting window opening in May, we are releasing all modules of the 2025 Reporting Framework and accompanying guidance early. We recommend reviewing the updated guidance and Reporting Framework module content ahead of May to streamline your organisation’s reporting process.
Streamlined PRI reporting in 2025 – what signatories need to know
To guide signatories through the 2025 reporting process, this short video highlights the key features of PRI reporting this year.
Other Responsible Investment Reporting Obligations
The Reporting Framework includes our new Other Responsible Investment Reporting Obligations (ORO) module, which allows signatories to disclose which other frameworks and regulations they report against.
The reporting landscape is becoming increasingly complex, with more jurisdictions mandating sustainability reporting and a growing number of voluntary investor initiatives. We have introduced the ORO module to better understand the challenges faced by our signatories and minimise the duplication they face in the future when reporting within the PRI’s Progression Pathways model.
ORO’s format is straightforward, featuring tick boxes and short-answer fields. The answers will:
- help explain the extent of your organisation’s reporting on responsible investment practices;
- provide the PRI with a better understanding of current and future reporting demands on signatories;
- not be assessed, though responses provided will be visible in signatories’ public Transparency Reports.
Reporting timeline
Signatories will have 12 weeks, from May until July, to submit their 2025 reports. We will confirm the exact dates at least one month before the Reporting Tool opens.
In the meantime, we encourage signatories to check that their organisation’s permissions are up to date so that they can use the Reporting Tool. More information on how to do so in the Permissions System user guide.
We also emailed signatories in December to inform them of their 2025 reporting requirements.
