David Atkin

Chief Executive Officer

David Atkin: Chief Executive Officer

David Atkin is the CEO of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). The PRI is a UN-supported organisation, with more than 5,000 signatories who collectively represent over US $121 trillion in AUM. He is responsible for the PRI’s global operations. David previously served as the Deputy CEO for AMP Capital and prior to that spent almost 13 years as the CEO for Cbus Superannuation Fund, where he saw membership grow from 500,000 to over 750,000 and AUM rise to AUD $55 billion. David has received the Distinguished Alumni Award from La Trobe University for his work in the sustainable finance field, was awarded the Fund Executives Association Ltd (FEAL) Fund Executive of the Year in 2017 and was presented with an Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) Life Membership in 2020.

Nathan Fabian

Nathan Fabian: Chief Sustainable Systems Officer

Nathan leads Sustainable Systems at the PRI and developed the PRI’s Sustainable Financial System Programme. He was Chair of the EU Platform on Sustainable Finance that developed the EU Taxonomy and advises on sustainable finance regulation. He was in the EU High Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance and various other expert groups in the EU and UK. These roles are part of twenty years work in sustainable finance in government policy, investment research and ratings on companies, and the development of investment processes and tools. Nathan was educated in International Relations, Business Administration and Ethics & Leadership.

Lian Hillier

Lian Hillier: Chief People & Culture Officer

Lian has worked for the PRI since 2016. She is responsible for driving the PRI’s people and culture strategy and overseeing people and culture practices across the organisation’s global offices. Prior to joining the PRI, Lian was Director of People and Culture at Nesta, where she was part of the executive board, providing strategic oversight of all HR and culture issues. During her eleven years there, Lian played a key role in a range of high-profile initiatives, including the organisation’s independence from the public sector. Lian holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Tamsin Ballard

Tamsin Ballard: Chief Initiatives Officer

Tamsin joined the PRI in 2022 as Director of Climate and Environment, before taking on responsibility for leading the Investor Initiatives and Collaboration team. Prior to joining PRI, Tamsin was a Senior Civil Servant with the UK Government. In her most recent role in the UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs she was responsible for a portfolio of international climate finance programmes and policies to help address the triple challenge of poverty, biodiversity loss and the climate emergency. Tamsin has over 20 years of experience working on sustainable development, climate change and the environment. Tamsin is an economist by background and was a contributing author on Lord Nicholas Stern’s seminal report on the Economics of Climate Change.

Esther Teeken

Esther Teeken: Chief Operating Officer

Esther was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the PRI in 2022, partnering closely with the CEO and the Executive Team to develop and implement operational and cross-organisational aspects of the compelling multi-year strategy. Esther is responsible for leading and supporting a high-performing Operations team and the overall execution of PRI’s business planning to ensure the commitments are appropriately resourced and the budget is allocated to deliver against business plans. Prior to the PRI, Esther was the Chief Operating Officer and a Board member at the Institute of Directors from November 2019 – September 2022 where she led and supported the company-wide restructure in 2020. Esther was also the driving force behind the IoD’s commitment to ensuring more women achieve board director roles. Esther has a track record of delivering successful transformation programmes to increase revenues, improve operational efficiency and profitability. She has built a career in professional services, spending over 10 years as the Global CFO for Grant Thornton International, supporting the global leadership team and advising senior stakeholders in firms across Grant Thornton’s international network. A strong advocate for greater diversity in the workplace, Esther is an active member of the female leaders’ network within the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) as well as the Vice Chair of the IoD’s Glass Ceiling Women’s Network and a Trustee and Charity Volunteer at Friends of Godstowe. Esther has an MSc degree in Business Administration (finance, accounting, and economics) from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam, The Netherlands followed by further finance qualification of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). Esther also holds the IoD Certificate in Company Direction, bachelor’s level (SCQF) qualification.

Rose Easton

Rose Easton: Chief RI Ecosystems Officer for the UK, Europe and IMEA

Rose joined the Principles for Responsible Investment in 2021 as a Regional Director in the Signatory Relations team before taking on executive responsibility for leading the newly formed Responsible Investment Ecosystems team, ensuring we provide the very best support to our signatories in their implementation of responsible investment. Prior to joining the PRI, Rose spent 25 years working in the financial sector in asset management with a focus on business development and client relations. In her most recent role, she successfully built, developed and ran a client management function for Ninety One (formerly Investec Asset Management). Previously, Rose was a consultant relations director and client advisor at AllianceBernstein and a client director and US equity product specialist at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. She has also worked for Goldman Sachs Asset Management in their sub-advisory business having begun her career at Goldman Sachs International in private wealth management. Rose has particular experience in Emerging Market investment solutions and is passionate about sustainable investing. Rose has a BA (Hons) in Spanish & Latin American Studies from the University of Portsmouth and holds the IMC & CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.

Cambria Allen-Ratzlaff: Chief RI Ecosystems Officer for the Americas and APAC

Cambria is Chief RI Ecosystems Officer for the Americas and APAC regions at the PRI. She has a strong background in financial services, responsible investment, and governance, as well as a deep subject matter expertise and a curiosity for learning. Cambria joined the PRI from JUST Capital, a not-for-profit research organisation, where she was Managing Director and Head of Investor Strategies. Her previous experience includes senior roles at the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust and State of Connecticut Office of the Treasurer as well as serving on a variety of investor-led committees. She studied political science at Bryn Mawr College, Pennsylvania, and holds a master’s degree in public policy from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.

Kate Webber

Kate Webber: Chief Responsible Investment Solutions Officer

Kate is the Chief Responsible Investment Solutions Officer at the UN PRI, joining in August 2024. She has had a long career in the industry, focused in the last decade serving in senior product and strategy positions. Most recently at Northern Trust, she held the position as Head of Product Strategy, responsible across the asset servicing business globally. Kate has also held senior positions at Calastone and BNY.

Kate founded the award-winning network Women in Asset Servicing in 2018. The network has grown exponentially with over 1,000 members and continues to thrive and develop. She is also a member of The Engine Advisory Board for The Investment Association and sits on The Council for Female Entrepreneurs.

Paul Van Eynde

Paul Van Eynde: Chief Marketing and External Affairs Officer

Paul has executive leadership of the PRI’s Marketing and External Affairs function, overseeing the organisation’s global marketing, corporate communications and internal communications strategies.
With over 30 years of experience in the asset management industry, Paul has held multiple leadership positions across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. He brings deep expertise in both asset and private wealth management from his tenure at ING Investment Management and NNIP. In 2019, Paul founded Fusion Partners, a private equity firm focused on Euro-Chinese growth opportunities. After a successful start and its acquisition by Capricorn Partners, one of Belgium’s largest privately held investment platforms, Paul integrated the fund as Investment Director, while leading the firm through a strategic repositioning.
From 2022 to 2024, Paul served as the Global Chief Marketing Officer for BNP Paribas Asset Management, a signatory of the PRI. In this role, he strengthened the company’s global reputation as a leading advocate of sustainable investment. Paul holds a Master’s Diploma in Business Engineering and a Master’s in International Marketing Management from the University of Hasselt.
