Applications are now open for investors wishing to sign up as participants for the second list of engagement focus companies until 20 September 2024. A limited number of roles remain available for the first batch of companies. More information about the timeline of the initiative can be found here.

PRI signatories wishing to join this initiative as an endorser or participant are required to complete the form below. Please ensure you have read the below guidance and highlighted resources before submitting your form.

Participants

Investors can take part as a participant in Spring by applying to join the initiative and engage with a company/companies within the initiative as a lead or collaborating investor:

• Lead investors and co-lead investors lead on the engagement strategy for the relevant focus company. In some cases, there will be two co-lead investors for a focus company.
• Collaborating investors proactively support lead investors and co-lead investors in their engagement with focus companies through, for example, participation in preparatory calls and engagement meetings.

Participants also endorse the initiative.

Participants are required to:

• Be a PRI signatory asset owner, investment manager, network group or engagement service provider (with a specific mandate to engage with companies on behalf of an institutional investor(s))
• Commit to participate in the Initiative as a Lead or collaborating investor for at least one focus company
• Commit to devote sufficient time to the initiative and Initiative duties, as set out in the Terms of Reference

Endorsers

Investors that join the initiative as an endorser publicly signal their support for the initiative’s objectives and strategy. Endorsers who do not subsequently become participants do not participate in engagement activities within the initiative and will be listed separately to participants in public information about the initiative.

Endorsers are required to be a PRI signatory asset owner, investment manager or service provider.

Endorsers who outsource their stewardship activities are also encouraged to request that their investment managers and engagement service providers with responsibility for engagement apply to take part in Spring or commit to aligning their own engagements to the objectives of the initiative.

How to sign up

To apply, please complete the form below. This should take no longer than 30 minutes for endorsers and 60 minutes for participant applicants.

Participants will be appointed by the PRI Executive based on the criteria set out in the participant Terms of Reference. Where a company engagement group is full, investors can be added to the company engagement group waiting list.
