Job Description
We are looking for a Project Manager to help deliver a series of engagements for the Latin American market on the topic of methane and flaring emissions in coordination with the PRI’s stewardship team and climate engagement initiatives, including Climate Action 100+.
The role will incorporate drawing together event programme and speakers so a good knowledge of event programme production is required, and a background in ESG/climate would be advantageous. The role also includes working on the logistical elements needed to deliver both digital and in-person events.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver all event logistics (in-person and virtual) including tech support on virtual events. Included but not limited to venue liaison, AV, catering, registration, attendee communications and webinar platform tech support.
- Content expertise and support on content development relevant to subject matter – including event agenda writing, speaker research and acquisition, speaker briefings.
- Pre-event planning and internal coordination with PRI Teams (RI Ecosystems, Investor Initiatives & Collaboration, Events)
- Manage delegate recruitment activity to secure registrations for the Sao Paulo roundtable. This will be achieved through channels including independent research and outreach, leveraging existing relationships, collaboration with the PRI’s CA100+ team and collaboration with on-the-ground colleagues.
- Post-event follow-up with attendees to support CA100+ in delivering investor engagement objectives, working together with CA100+ staff to facilitate engagement calls, hosting capacity building webinars and tracking
- Regular internal and external reporting on progress
- Support PRI’s investor-company climate engagements, working together with the PRI CA100+ team to facilitate engagement calls, hosting capacity building webinars and tracking progress.
Person Specification
- Experience in delivering in-person as well as online events
- Event content creation expertise: including event agenda writing, speaker research and acquisition, speaker briefings.
- Event logistics expertise: venue liaison, AV, catering, registration, attendee communications, webinar platform tech.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation to completion, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working on any of the following topics: sustainable finance, oil and gas industry, net zero strategies, climate risk reporting.
- Knowledge of CA100+ Initiative.
- Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills
- A collaborative and consultative approach to working with others and` committed to fostering an inclusive environment
- Excellent networking, relationship management and interpersonal skills and experience of building strong and productive relationships
- IT/Digital skills (Microsoft Office, CRM, social media, webcasts, etc.)
- Very good programme management skills, with experience in delivering complex projects successfully, including directing others that may not be your direct reports
- As this is a global role, international travel may be required to deliver an in-person event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in November.
- Language skills, especially Portuguese and Spanish are desirable
