Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Director this role covers all the operational elements of the Finance team including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Reporting.  The emphasis is on providing accurate and timely financial information to ensure cost and revenue assurance and drive business decisions.  Other aspects of the role include process improvement, internal control, strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of 3
  • Oversee and improve the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Processes
  • Complete the monthly management accounts with detailed commentary on all aspects of the PRI’s financials
  • Identify improvements to financial reporting process to optimise efficiency and quality of management information to enable effective and timely decision making for the business
  • Review Management Accounts for PRI Subsidiaries and manage consolidation of all PRI entities
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Ensure financial integrity and documenting processes and maintaining and improving internal controls
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual budget
  • Oversee the completion of financial accounts, VAT return, Corporation tax return submissions
  • Complete monthly cash flow forecasts
  • Provide regular reporting to the Director of Finance and Chief Operations Officer as required
  • Ad hoc duties as requested

Person Specification

  •  Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent with more than 5 years PQE)
  • Experience of running a small team
  • Well-developed people management skills and experience of leading
  • Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills
  • A collaborative and consultative approach to working with others & committed to fostering an inclusive environment 
  • Demonstrates a commitment to developing others and a growth mindset, actively pursuing continuous professional and personal development
  • Previous experience of process improvement and/or task automation
  • Excellent networking, relationship management and interpersonal skills and experience of building strong and productive relationships.
