  • Fiona Reynolds

    Fiona Reynolds, Managing Director

    Fiona Reynolds joined the PRI as Managing Director in February, 2013. In this newly created role, she is responsible for the organisational development and growth of the PRI. Prior to joining the PRI Fiona was the Chief Executive Officer at the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (“AIST”) for 6 years. Fiona has more than 16 years’ experience in the pension sector and has played a role in advocating pension policy change on behalf of working Australians. Fiona has formerly been a Director of AUSfund, Industry Funds Credit Control, and the National Network of Women in Super. Fiona is also on the Board of Australia for UNHCR – United Nations High Commission for Refugees. In September 2012 she was named by the Australian Financial Review as one of Australia's top 100 women of influence for her work in public policy. Fiona has a range of superannuation qualifications and a Grad.Dip in Public Policy.

  • Mark Blair

    Mark Blair, Director of Operations and Finance

    Mark joined PRI as Director of Operations and Finance in July 2010. For many years Mark was Chief Finance Officer of General Atlantic (the business arm of the Atlantic Philanthropies) in the UK and also CEO of a luxury goods division within the group. Mark began his professional career as an Investment Analyst in the City before becoming a Chartered Management Accountant. He has since combined several international Managing and Finance Director roles, predominantly in fashion, leisure, retail and online. Mark is involved with Child's i Foundation, a charity dealing with baby abandonment in Uganda, which was set up in 2009.

  • Sagarika Chatterjee

    Sagarika Chatterjee, General Manager

    Sagarika joined PRI in 2013. She works across functions, focusing particularly on how PRI can support investors in implementing responsible investment. Prior to this she worked for 11 years on F&C's Governance & Sustainable Investment Team, providing a global engagement and proxy voting service for European clients. This involved working closely with pension fund clients and fund managers on analysis of environmental, social and governance themes, and dialogue with companies with the aim of protecting investor value. Prior to joining F&C, Sagarika worked in a commercial role for Kingfisher plc, sourcing timber products from sustainably-managed forests. Before this, she worked in higher education in China. Sagarika serves in a personal capacity on the Investment Sub-Committee of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and was previously Vice Chair of UKSIF. She holds an MSc in Development Studies from the University of London, a Management Studies Diploma from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge. Sagarika speaks fluent Bengali and basic Mandarin.

  • Craig Fergusson

    Craig Fergusson, Associate Director, Human Resources

    After completing his diploma in New York, Craig started his career in financial services as an investment analyst covering semiconductors and related technology stocks. Moving to London he continued as an investment analyst for an independent brokerage and was responsible for a small sales team servicing clients in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo and London. After a brief spell heading up a Quant desk in financial services headhunting, Craig moved to an in-house recruitment function in Environment and broadened out to cover the full HR spectrum from there. Craig joined the PRI in June 2013 and has a PhD in Surface Chemistry, a Diploma in International Business and an MSc in Human Resource Development.

  • Yann-gindre

    Yann Gindre, Director, Networks and Global Outreach

    Yann Gindre joined the PRI in June 2014 as the Director of Networks and Global Outreach and member of the Executive team. He is responsible for developing the PRI’s global outreach, signatory relations and recruitment strategy, working closely with PRI staff based in the United States, Australia, Japan, South Africa, South America and Europe. Yann has over 25 years’ experience in international banking & capital markets, and prior to working as a consultant in 2013, was CEO of Natixis CIB Americas, a division of French banking, investment management and financial services group Natixis. Between 1988 and 2004 he was based in London as Global Head of Debt Capital Markets at several US and European banks, including UBS, Barclays Capital, Commerzbank, and JP Morgan Chase. Yann holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from London Business School.

  • Maria Lettini

    Maria Lettini, Associate Director, Networks and Global Outreach

    Maria joined the PRI in September of 2011 as Global Outreach Manager and is responsible for the recruitment of new PRI signatories worldwide. She has over fifteen years experience in business and finance. Maria spent eight years working in Institutional Equity Sales at J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank, based in both US and Europe. Maria has a Master of Arts in Environment, Politics and Globalization from King's College London and a Bachelor of Arts in International Business and Latin American Studies from San Diego State University.

  • Matthew McAdam

    Matthew McAdam, Associate Director, Communications

    Matthew McAdam joined the PRI as Head of Communications in April 2012 and is responsible for managing communications with signatories and the media. Prior to joining PRI, he was Associate Director of Communications at Standard & Poor's in London, where he managed communications and media relations across S&P's credit ratings, indices, equity and fund research businesses over six years. He was also responsible for S&P's media activities in emerging markets, particularly the Middle East and South Africa. Matthew was previously a finance journalist at The Australian Financial Review in Sydney. Matthew completed a Masters in Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge and holds a Bachelor of Communications from Griffith University. He also holds a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and the UK Investment Management Certificate.

  • Lorenzo Saà

    Lorenzo Saà, Associate Director, Signatory Services

    Lorenzo Saà manages the PRI's Signatory Services team, which supports signatories adopting the PRI’s six Principles within their investment decision-making processes and ownership practices. The team provides practical solutions, toolkits and guidance to help signatories with varying levels of knowledge and expertise implement responsible investment across asset classes; runs collaborative engagements to improve the disclosure and management of ESG issues by portfolio companies; and offers a standardised reporting and assessment framework to help signatories communicate their responsible investment activity to their clients, beneficiaries and other stakeholders in a transparent and effective manner. Before joining the PRI, Lorenzo was a project manager at UniCredit, overseeing microfinance initiatives and advising on responsible investments. He has served as an independent consultant for development organizations such as the World Bank and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), delivering microfinance sector assessments and evaluations, as well as a senior financial analyst at MicroRate, a dedicated rating agency for microfinance institutions. He holds a BA in Business and Economics from the Università Cattolica, Milan, and a joint MBA/Masters in International Public Policy from SDA Bocconi, Milan and SAIS - Johns Hopkins, Washington DC.

  • Christopher Sperling

    Christopher Sperling, Senior Corporate Officer

    Christopher Sperling provides high level support to the Executive Director, PRI Association Board and PRI Advisory Council. Christopher holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BA in History of Art from the School of Oriental and African Studies and University College London.

  • Helene Winch

    Helene Winch, Director of Policy and Research

    Helene Winch joined the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) in October 2013 as Director of Policy and Research and is responsible for the PRI’s newly formed policy and research work stream, supporting signatories to identify and overcome barriers that currently prevent financial markets from functioning more sustainably. She was previously Head of Policy at BT Pension Scheme Management Ltd, the executive company and investment advisor to the £40bn BT Pension Scheme (BTPS). BTPS is one of the largest defined benefit pension schemes in the United Kingdom and a founding signatory of the PRI. In this role, Helene held discussions with governments and regulators on behalf of BTPS and developed the pension schemes’ sustainable investment strategy. She previously held investment roles at Hermes Fund Managers as a portfolio manager for the £1bn Hermes commodity fund, at Refco managing pension scheme commodity allocations, and at ANZ Investment Bank and Rabobank. She has also held board positions at IIGCC (Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change) and Hermes EOS. Ms. Winch has an MSc in Maths and Finance from Imperial College, London and an MA in Engineering Science from Cambridge University.

Networks and Global Outreach

  • Indira Abraham

    Indira Abraham, Signatory Relations & Network Manager

    In her cross-cutting role as Signatory Relations Manager, Indira is a key contact person in handling relations between signatories and the PRI. She is primarily responsible for driving the engagement of signatories in the various work streams, be it at the early stages of dealing with responsible investment or for more advanced practitioners. She ensures that the PRI delivers demonstrable value in supporting its broad and diverse signatory base. Prior to joining the PRI in February 2012, Indira worked with a Geneva-based Asset Manager for 3 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland and a Master of Letters (MLitt) in Marketing with a concentration in Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability and Accountability from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. She undertook her dissertation on the concept of business ecosystems in conjunction with the PRI.

  • Michal Fonea Alexandron

    Michal Fonea Alexandron, Senior Operations Manager, Networks & Global Outreach

    Michal Fonea Alexandron joined the PRI in 2012 and works as Senior Operations Manager, Networks and Global Outreach. In this role, Michal works across PRI geographies, coordinating activities and managing the flow of information to ensure a seamless and integrated Networks and Global Outreach function. Michal holds an MSc in Environmental Policy from The University of Oxford and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

  • Xolisa Dhlamini

    Xolisa Dhlamini, South Africa Network Manager

    Xolisa joined the PRI as South Africa Network Manager in April 2013. He was previously a Senior Investment Consultant at Independent Actuaries and Consultants, where his primary role was to provide investment intermediary services to institutional clients (Retirement Funds, Medical Schemes and Insurance Companies). He also engaged and trained stakeholders on current investment industry developments, including the progress of fund managers towards adopting principles such as the PRI and the Code for Responsible Investing in South Africa (CRISA). Xolisa has held positions at Absa and Alexander Forbes Asset Consultants. Xolisa holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Business Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Business Management from the University of South Africa. He has recently completed a Master of Philosophy in Development Finance at the University Of Cape Town Graduate School Of Business.

    Melanie Klebeck, German Network Representative

    Melanie joined the PRI in 2012 and is responsible for supporting the German Network and acting as first contact point for German signatories. She works closely with Dustin Neuneyer, European Network Manager at PRI.

  • SonalMahida

    Sonal Mahida, US Manager

    Sonal joined the PRI in February 2014 with over 10 years of experience in responsible investment. During her career she has worked on ESG from institutional investor, non-profit, and corporate issuer perspectives. Her experience includes shareholder engagement, developing proxy voting guidelines, proxy voting analysis, ESG integration, and leading a corporate transparency initiative in the US. Prior to PRI, Sonal was part of the corporate sustainability reporting team at Hess, a U.S. oil and gas company. As Vice President of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), she managed the organization’s U.S. operations. Before joining CDP in 2008, Sonal was a Senior Governance Analyst at TIAA-CREF, where she led ESG dialogues and engagements with portfolio companies, and undertook internal proxy voting analysis. She holds an M.B.A. from Boston University's School of Management and a B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University.

  • Dr Michiyo Morisawa

    Dr Michiyo Morisawa, Japan Network Director

    Dr Michiyo Morisawa works part-time leading the PRI signatory network in Japan and is Head of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Japan office, guiding the initiative since CDP's global expansion in 2006. Dr Morisawa has been a lead author of the CDP Japan report. She has a PhD in Environment from Tokyo University. She is also a research member of the Hosei University for Low Carbon Policy of Local Government under the project of the Japanese Ministry of Environment. She has prior experience in international business development of financial services (amongst others at Citibank) for reducing settlement risk.

  • Dustin Neuneyer

    Dustin Neuneyer, European Network Manager

    Dustin joined PRI in January 2014 as PRI's new part time European Network Manager. He is responsible for engaging with and supporting European signatories in their RI practice and implementation, and fostering the development of the PRI European Network. He brings with him more than 12 years of experience in responsible investment and ESG integration gained through his positions as Director at corporate and investment bank WestLB and Senior Advisor to think tank and lobby NGO Germanwatch. Dustin developed and implemented first of its kind ESG approaches on business activities related to coal-fired power generation and on offshore oil drilling and production including the Arctic as well as on stakeholder dialogues. He holds a Masters of Art degree in Political Science, German Philology and Art History from the University of Cologne in Germany.

  • Yulia Sofronova

    Yulia Sofronova, Manager, Networks and Global Outreach

    Yulia interacts with teams located in the PRI Secretariat in London and Network Managers located overseas, to support signatories’ implementation of the Principles across different countries. Yulia is responsible for acting as the first point of call for Signatories located in Europe (excluding Germany) and Nordic Europe to support investors initiatives to further develop Responsible Investment in those locations.

Implementation Support

  • Archie Beeching

    Archie Beeching, Implementation Support Manager

    Archie Beeching joined the PRI in January 2012 as part of the Implementation Support team. He is responsible for managing the fixed income and infrastructure work streams. This involves guiding steering committee and working group activities, reaching out to new and potential signatories and developing implementation tools with work stream participants. Archie has previous experience working in research and reporting roles for a leading Australian CSR consultant (Net Balance) and as an ESG research and engagement specialist (Regnan). In these roles he produced reports on sustainability within corporate supply chains and the relationship between human rights and investment. Archie holds a Master's of Environmental Management from the University of New South Wales. Before joining the responsible investment industry, he worked in account management and business development in the IT industry. Archie also holds a Master's in Spanish Literature from Edinburgh University.

  • Natasha Buckley

    Natasha Buckley, Project Manager, Implementation Support

    Natasha Buckley joined the PRI in August 2011. She has an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and a BA in History from University College London. She works on the PRI's private equity, property and infrastructure work programmes. She also manages internal and external communications for the Implementation Support team and runs the PRI Mentoring Programme.

  • Fong Yee Chan

    Fong Yee Chan, Senior Manager, Implementation Support

    Fong Yee Chan leads PRI's private equity, property and infrastructure work programmes. Prior to joining PRI, Fong Yee was a consultant at Accenture and Deloitte, focused on strategy and systems implementation projects in the supply chain and utilities industries. Fong Yee has also worked at Responsible Research in Singapore as a research analyst on the Asia Sustainability Rating project, a benchmarking tool enabling comparison of the management of ESG issues by Asian companies. She holds a MSc with Distinction in Environment and Sustainable Development from University College London, and a BSc Joint Major in Business Administration and Computer Science from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada.

  • Akif Chaundry

    Akif Chaudhry, Senior Manager, Implementation Support

    Akif Chaudhry joined the PRI in November 2013 as Senior Manager of the Private Equity, Property, and Infrastructure work streams. Prior to the PRI, Akif focussed on investing in early stage private businesses as an Investment Manager at Low Carbon Investors (UK) Limited, and previously qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) whilst at KPMG before he spent nearly five years as an Equity Analyst, predominantly at Merrill Lynch covering the IT services and Software sector. Akif has also previously worked on a project in the rural finance sector for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN. Currently, Akif also acts as a consultant undertaking strategic and financial analysis for corporate clients in the energy sector. Akif holds a BA in Economics from Cambridge University and an MA in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics.

  • Karin Malmberg

    Karin Malmberg, Manager, Implementation Support

    Karin Malmberg joined the PRI in 2010. She holds an MSc from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). Her thesis explored the potential of CSR for international development. Karin also studied at L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris and at the University of Birmingham, where she obtained a BA in Political Science and International Relations. Before joining the PRI, Karin worked as a researcher, including during an internship with EIRIS.

  • TomiNummela

    Tomi Nummela, Head of Implementation Support

    Tomi joined the Implementation Support team in January 2014 and was appointed to his current role in September 2014. He was previously a Programme Manager at the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership, delivering a thought leadership programme for institutional investors. The programme was championed at the most senior levels in the member organisations and designed to integrate ESG research and best practice into mainstream business strategy. He previously held capital market roles at Société Générale as a Director responsible for corporate debt origination, at ABN AMRO Rothschild managing Nordic equity origination, and at ABN AMRO. Mr Nummela has an MSc in Finance from the University of Turku and an MBA in CSR from the University of Nottingham. Tomi chairs a charity, The Bootstrap Company, running an active programme of support for young unemployed people, start-ups and small businesses.

  • Titia Sjenitzer

    Titia Sjenitzer, Senior Manager, Implementation Support

    Titia Sjenitzer joined the PRI in October 2009 as Reporting and Assessment Manager, where she managed the PRI's reporting and assessment process. She joined the Implementation Support team as Senior Manager, Alternative & Themed Investments in October 2013. Prior to joining the PRI, Titia worked on sustainability benchmarking of food and beverage companies at Fairfood International. Titia has also contributed to a number of different sustainability initiatives as a freelance researcher and project manager. Titia started her career at Stoas Research developing surveys and benchmarks on higher education performance and consulting on projects regarding life long learning and career guidance. In 2002 Titia completed an MSc in Sociology, specializing in Methodology and Statistics, at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.

  • Justin_small

    Justin Sloggett, Manager, Implementation Support

    Justin joined the PRI in June 2014 and is responsible for the Listed Equity work stream. Before starting at PRI, he had worked for the Co-operative Asset Management as a Responsible Investment Analyst, where he conducted ESG research and engagement projects on companies in the Industrial, Energy, Technology, Transportation, and Utilities sectors. Justin has also worked for F&C Asset Management PLC as an Investment Support Analyst, where he was responsible for supporting fund managers and performing middle office duties, such as performance analysis and cash management. Justin graduated from the University of Nottingham with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and has completed all 3 levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) examinations. He holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

Investor Engagements

  • AlisonBiscoe

    Alison Biscoe, Operations Executive, Investor Engagements

    Alison joined the PRI Initiative in January 2014. She is responsible for managing the Clearinghouse platform and providing support to other members of the Investor Engagements team on their collaborative engagements. Prior to joining the PRI, Alison worked as an intern for UNESCO, and various other social business and microfinance NGOs in Paris, London and Toronto. She holds a Master of Science in International Relations and Global Issues from the University of Nottingham, which included a year abroad attending the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.

  • Paul Chandler

    Paul Chandler, Manager, Investor Engagements

    Paul Chandler joined the PRI as Manager of Investor Engagements, Environmental Issues in March 2014. He is responsible for developing, coordinating and facilitating engagements with companies and policy makers on issues including water, climate change, hydraulic fracturing and palm oil. Prior to joining the PRI, Paul worked in ESG research and engagement for Regnan - Governance Research & Engagement, an Australian specialist ESG provider working for and on behalf of institutional investors. Paul holds a Master of Environment with a specialisation in climate change from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Business majoring in finance from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).

  • Danielle Chesebrough

    Danielle Chesebrough, Senior Manager of Investor Engagement with the UN Global Compact

    Danielle Chesebrough has been working in her dual role with the PRI and UN Global Compact since May 2011. Her role includes developing, coordinating and facilitating investor engagements, with a focus on UN Global Compact principles and initiatives. Danielle also co-coordinates the Sustainable Stock Exchanges initiative that addresses the various ways in which stock exchanges can promote sustainable business practices. Previously, Danielle worked in ESG client services at MSCI. Prior to joining the client services team, she conducted ESG analysis and led engagements with publicly companies. This experience has given her valuable understanding of the concerns and opportunities facing companies, policy makers, and investors. Danielle has a BA in Political Science from Clemson University and a Masters of Social Work, with a focus on Policy and International Studies from the University of Connecticut.

  • Athanasia Karananou

    Athanasia Karananou, Senior Manager, Investor Engagements

    Athanasia Karananou joined the PRI in October 2011. Her role includes developing, coordinating and facilitating investor engagements, with a focus on corporate governance issues. Previously Athanasia worked as a corporate governance analyst at HSBC Global Asset Management, where she was responsible for engagement with portfolio companies on corporate governance issues, as well as proxy voting and governance analysis of FTSE All-Share companies. Prior to this Athanasia was a senior researcher at PIRC, where she led a research team focusing on corporate governance analysis of emerging markets and sub-index companies. Her experience includes developing best practice principles, shareholder voting guidelines and market overviews for several emerging markets. Athanasia has an MSc in European Policy and Management, with a focus on European Politics and Corporate Governance (Birkbeck, University of London) and a BA in History (University of Athens).

  • Valeria Piani

    Valeria Piani, Head of Investor Engagements

    Valeria Piani joined the PRI Initiative in June 2008. Her role is coordinating and supervising the PRI Engagement Clearinghouse activities to support institutional investors' campaigns with investee companies and policy makers on environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics. Before joining PRI, Valeria worked for three years in Italy as consultant on corporate communications and corporate social responsibility for multinational companies. In 2007, she was awarded the United Nations Fellowship Programme to work in international development cooperation for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United Nations Development Programme in Argentina. Valeria graduated in International Public Administration and Development at the Luigi Bocconi Business School of Milan. She also completed a Master of Arts in CSR at the University of Nottingham Business School with a dissertation on the effectiveness of shareholders’ collaborative engagement activities with companies on ESG issues.

  • Olivia Watson

    Olivia Watson, Senior Manager, Investor Engagements (on maternity leave)

    Olivia Watson is the Senior Manager, Social and Environmental Issues at the PRI. Her role includes developing and facilitating investor engagements with companies and policy makers on issues including water, climate change and palm oil. Prior to joining the PRI Olivia worked as a corporate responsibility consultant, advising multinational companies on sustainability strategy, stakeholder engagement, sustainability reporting and climate change. Previously Olivia worked as a research analyst at PIRC, where she analysed companies' ESG performance and contributed to several engagement projects on climate change risks and opportunities. She has an MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and a BA in Biology from Bates College in Maine, USA.

  • Felicitas Weber

    Felicitas Weber, Manager, Investor Engagements

    Felicitas Weber is responsible for developing and facilitating investor engagements with companies on supply chain labour standards, employee relations and human rights. Prior to joining the PRI in April 2011, Felicitas has worked as development assistant for the charities Teach First and Historic Royal Palaces. She holds a Master in Political Science, Philosophy and Economics from Universität Leipzig, a Certificate of Political Studies from Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Rennes as well as a qualification in European Quality and Project Management.

Reporting and Assessment

  • Alex Faulkner

    Alex Faulkner, Manager, Reporting and Assessment

    Alex Faulkner joined the PRI in October 2011 as a Reporting and Assessment Manager. He has an MSc from UWE and completed his undergraduate degree in Biodiversity from The University of Kent. Prior to joining the PRI Alex worked as an intern on the Carbon Action Initiative at the Carbon Disclosure Project. Alex has over 5 years' experience as a consultant in the Oil & Gas sector working for multi-national clients including Shell, BP and Chevron advising them on a number of issues including site acquisition, due diligence and remediation. Alex has also worked as a researcher at EIRIS ranking companies for the BITC index.

  • Hitender Gujral

    Hitender Gujral, Manager, Reporting and Assessment

    Hitender Gujral joined PRI in November 2010 as a Reporting and Assessment Manager. He has completed his MBA with Distinction from Nottingham University Business School in December 2010 and has specialised in Corporate Social Responsibility. During the course, he worked as a MBA summer intern at Schroders PLC and was responsible for developing a sustainability management framework for Schroder Property team. After successfully completing the Schroders internship, he worked as a Climate Change Intern at EIRIS for six weeks. The role involved researching on climate change initiatives undertaken by "high risk" companies such as cement production and electricity generation companies. Prior to pursuing the MBA course, he has worked in the Information Technology industry for three years with big IT corporates such as Wipro Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services as a Software Developer/Engineer. His role focused mainly on the development and maintenance of software applications for Banking, Insurance and Financial Services clients. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree (2006) specialising in Telecommunications from VTU, India.

  • Alyssa Heath

    Alyssa Heath, Senior Manager, Reporting and Assessment

    Alyssa joined PRI in July 2013 to manage PRI’s reporting and assessment process. Before joining PRI, Alyssa worked at CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) where she was responsible for the climate change scoring work, producing annual ratings for almost 4,000 of the world’s largest companies. She was also involved in developing indicators and benchmarking on corporate water stewardship. Alyssa started her career at the Energy Saving Trust, the UK’s domestic energy agency, where she worked with local councils, in particular on attracting private investment into domestic energy retrofitting.     Mandy Kirby, Senior Manager, Reporting and Assessment

    Mandy joined PRI in January 2014 as Senior Manager, Reporting and Assessment developing the PRI’s reporting outputs, including the Report on Progress. Prior to joining PRI, Mandy was Associate Director at Maplecroft, leading geographical and sector research projects and advising corporate clients on sustainability and corporate responsibility issues. This incorporated the development and implementation of online and in-house tools for assessing and monitoring ESG risks, and contributions to thought leadership debates on key emerging value chain issues such as fracking, business ethics and human rights. She previously worked at business intelligence provider Global Insight, leading the country analysis team for Europe and CIS and conducting economic forecasting. She holds a First Class BA from University College London.

    Bhaarat Verma, Officer, Reporting and Assessment

    Bhaarat Verma joined the PRI in November 2013 as part of the Reporting and Assessment team, where he is responsible for the Fixed Income and Listed Equities modules in the Reporting Framework. Bhaarat holds a BA in Politics & Philosophy from the University of Durham and a Graduate Diploma in Law. Prior to joining the PRI Bhaarat worked in engagement at Hermes EOS.

  • Andreas Hoepner

    Dr Andreas G. F. Hoepner, Senior Academic Fellow

    Andreas is serving as the Senior Academic Fellow to the PRI on a part-time basis since January 2014 having served as the Academic Fellow since September 2009. In this role, he (i) advises on (academic) research related aspects, (ii) presents (academic) research insights to signatories and (iii) more generally attempts to bridge gaps between responsible investment practice and academia. Besides his role within the PRI, Andreas is Associate Professor in Finance at the ICMA Centre, Henley Business School, University of Reading. He is currently also serving as Senior Associate to the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership (since June 2013). Andreas received his PhD from St Andrews in June 2010. His research has won several awards including a 2012 Academy of Management Best Paper Proceeding, a 2010 PRI Academic Research Award, and 2011 and 2012 PRI/FIR Research Grant Awards. He is also co-editor of the Cambridge Handbook of Institutional Investment and Fiduciary Duty which displays contributions from dozens of highly regarded academics and professionals includes a foreword from former US. Vice President Al Gore. His presentations have been simultaneously translated into Chinese, French, German and Japanese.     Will Martindale, Policy and Research Manager

    Will Martindale joined the PRI in February 2014 as Policy and Research Manager. Previously Will worked for Oxfam as policy adviser for the financial sector. Will has a background in banking, joining JPMorgan's graduate programme in June 2004, supporting a web-based trading platform for JPMorgan's clients to manage a leveraged portfolio of credit default swaps. In September 2010, Will joined French bank, BNP Paribas, as a business manager for their credit trading desk. Will read Maths at King's College London and has a Masters in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics.

    Rachel Whittaker, Editor, RI Quarterly

    Rachel Whittaker is the editor for the Academic Network's RI Quarterly. She is a sustainable investment specialist with experience in investment research, analysis and communications. Most recently she held positions in Mercer’s Responsible Investment team in London, and at Vontobel Asset Management in Zürich.

  • Alessandro Boaretto

    Alessandro Boaretto, Graphic Designer

    Alessandro Boaretto joined Principles for Responsible Investment as Graphic Designer in July 2013. He is responsible for designing and creating assets for a number of PRI outputs, including Publications, Event collateral, Presentations and any other graphic assignments that may be requested. Before joining PRI, Alessandro has been working for twelve years as a graphic designer for typographic companies and specialised graphic services providers around Italy, Switzerland and UK. He holds a diploma in Graphic Design & Communication and a certificate in Web design & multimedia.

  • Anastasia Guha

    Anastasia Guha, Head of Events Content & Communications Manager

    Anastasia Guha is the Head of Events Content and Communications Manager at PRI. She is responsible for the PRI in Person annual event and all other PRI events globally; she is also part of the team responsible for PRI's marketing and messaging. She holds a BSc in Economics and Applied Statistics (Ferguson College, India) and MA in International Political Economy (Warwick). Previously Anastasia has worked on events and communications at Euromoney, Institutional Investor and Fidelity International. She has also worked as a features editor for various trade publications including Chambers and Partners and has published articles in the Spectator.

    Laura James, Head of Events Logistics

    Laura joined the PRI in May 2013. She is responsible for overseeing the logistics of all PRI events, primarily PRI in Person and the Academic Network Conference. Laura was previously the Events Operations Manager for the Association of Corporate Treasurers and held various event management roles at Praxity, Nuffield Trust, British Institute of Radiology, Freshfields and Brintex. She has worked within events across the financial, medical and legal sectors. She holds ‘IOSH Managing Safely in Events’ certification.

  • Isaac Khurgel

    Isaac Khurgel, Communications Manager & Special Projects Manager

    Isaac Khurgel joined the PRI in January 2012. His responsibilities include ensuring effective marketing and messaging, managing the PRI Initiative’s digital communications channels, and providing internal communications support. Isaac holds an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and an Honours BA in Political Science from the University of Toronto.

  • Brett Phillips

    Brett Phillips, Editor

    Brett joined the PRI as Editor in January 2014 and is responsible for the writing and editing of signatory, media and stakeholder communications. Prior to joining PRI, Brett had worked in Marketing and Communication roles in both London and Australia, including Barclays as Proposition and Sales Support Manager and Fidelity in pension communications. In Australia he worked at a number of pension funds, including Health Super as Communications Manager, where he managed the delivery of communications to support the $28b AUD merger of Heath Super and First State Super. Brett completed a Master of Business Marketing at RMIT University and holds a BA in Advertising.

Operations and Finance

  • Richard Abraham

    Richard Abraham, Senior Finance Officer

    Richard joined PRI in October 2011 to support the finance function. Richard is a Chartered Accountant with Financial Controllership and Directorship experience in a variety of commercial and not for profit organisations. Richard’s key roles are in financial control, budgeting and financial and management reporting. He is a graduate of Oxford University where he read Modern and Mediaeval European Languages and Literature.

  • Faima Akthar

    Faima Akthar, Assistant Management Accountant

    Faima joined the PRI in November 2010. In her role as Assistant Management Accountant she manages the day-to-day finance processes, payroll and management accounts. Prior to the PRI, Faima worked within the Finance team at the International Organisation for Migration, IOM, who work to help ensure the orderly and humane management of migration. Prior to this, Faima worked with The Children’s Society, a charity focused on social justice and welfare provision in addition to encouraging young people to speak and act for themselves. Faima holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Greenwich and is Part Qualified in CIMA.

  • Peter Boonman

    Peter Boonman, Head of Partnerships

    Peter has worked in various management positions in the banking industry and the not for profit sector. At PRI Peter has taken charge of the Business Development function which includes facilitating programme and project development across PRI and setting up initiatives and work streams with partners, signatories and other organisations and stakeholders. He also is responsible for developing and delivering a sustainable fundraising strategy for PRI, providing voluntary funding for PRI generally and for specific projects. Beyond his core responsibilities in business development and income generation Peter enjoys working on improving and connecting organisational systems. He also has particular interests in budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management and facilitating training. Peter studied English and English Historical Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam, he has a degree in Business Economics, multiple diplomas in banking and is a qualified Prince2 project manager.

    Jozsef Harcsa, Systems Analyst

    Jozsef joined the PRI in July 2014 as Systems Analyst within the Information Technology team. Prior to joining the PRI, he had worked in various telecommunication and IT positions across the public sector in Hungary. In his role as a Systems Analyst he designs and implements IT solutions supporting both PRI staff and signatories. Jozsef holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Engineering Information Technology and is currently completing his M.Sc. in Engineering Information Technology. Jozsef has Microsoft Certifications in SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013.

  • Tatenda Kupara

    Tatenda Kupara, IT Manager

    Tatenda joined the PRI in November 2013. In his role as IT Manager he oversees the delivery of IT services within the PRI Secretariat. Prior to this, he spent eight years working within various UK-based organisations, including the University of Warwick. Tatenda is a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) in SQL Server 2008/2012.

  • Katherine Pruski

    Katherine Pruski, Signatory Operations & Network Manager

    Katherine has worked at the PRI since February 2011. In her role as Signatory Operations & Networks Manager she coordinates the UK signatory network and oversees the logistics of the signatory base, including sign up and invoicing. Prior to the PRI Katherine worked on the membership team at Pilotlight, a UK-based charity, and before that the Welsh Assembly Government on a support programme for business start-ups.
